GE Helps Protect Critical Power Systems from Cyberattacks
GE announced the availability of its CyberSentryTM SEM Security Event Manager, a cybersecurity management and monitoring system specifically designed to help guard substation power system assets from issues or outages occurring as a result of malicious attacks or human error.

SA's Smart Grid initiative
South Africa is embarking on a co-ordinated Smart Grid initiative with the South African National Energy Development providing leadership. We think SA will be very different once SANEDI's South Afican Smart Grids Initiative gains some momentum and shows impact on the national grid operator, Eskom, municipalities and end-customers. In the meantime we, including Eskom, municipalities and end-customers wait to take direction from SANEDI's SASGI leadership.
