The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and Brookhaven National Laboratory have partnered with the Virtual Energy Forum to lead an online presentation on the topic of smart grid. This week’s event will feature live video presentations on Thursday, December 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST, providing a global audience with the opportunity to interact with leading smart grid experts.
The program will begin with a presentation hosted by Dan T. Ton, titled Smart Grid Development by the U.S. Department of Energy. Dan is the program manager who oversees smart grid research and development within the DOE Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE). He is responsible for developing and implementing a multi-year R&D program plan for next-generation smart grid technologies to transform the electric grid in the United States through partnerships with the private sector.
